Ацтлан

Ацтлан е легендарна прататковина на средноамериканскиот народ Нахуа. „Ацтеки“ е наваталски збор за „луѓе од Ацтлан“.

Легенда

Наваталската легенда вели дека седум племиња живееле во Чикомоцток или во превод „местото на седумте пештери“. Секоја пештера претставува различна група од народот нахуа: шочимилка, тлахуика, аколхуа, тлашкалан, тепанек, чалка и мешика. Поради заедничкиот лингистички карактер, овие групи се нарекуваат со заедничкото име нахуа народ. Овие народи ги напуштиле пештерите се населиле во близина на Ацтлан.
