Please bear in mind that a permission is only usable for us if they give explicit permission not just for us on Wikipedia to use the material, but for everybody else to re-use it for any purpose whatsoever. I can't read all of the mail, but it doesn't look to me as if it contained such a statement. Does it? :Not sure if you understood what I meant, sorry. The question is: does the author say that everybody else is allowed to use the images, also for purposes other than Wikipedia? If not, it's not [[:en:Wikipedia:Free content|Free content]] and we can't use it.
