Сите се возбудени поради летниот распуст. Трој Болтон ([[Зак Ефрон]]) бара работа и се обидува да ја одржи врската со Габриела Монтез ([[Ванеса Хаџенс]]). Ѕвони последното училишно ѕвонче, сите танцуваат и пеат, а Трој како знак за својата љубов на Габриела и подарува синџирче со буквата “Т”. Шарпеј Еванс ([[Ешли Тисдејл]]) и Рајан Еванс ([[Лукас Грабел]]) планираат да го поминат летото во семејниот кантри клуб. Шарпеј го вработува Трој во клубот само за да го оддалечи од Габриела. Но, тој во клубот ги вработува Габриела и нивните пријатели од гимназијата. Тоа не ја поколебува Шарпеј, која го запознава Трој со нејзините богати родители.
