Додекафонијата, позната и како дванаесет-тонска техника, дванаесет-тонски серијализам е музички композициски метод измислен од австрискиот композитор Арнолд Шенберг (1874–1951). Техниката се состои од залагањето сите 12 ноти од хроматската скала да бидат присутни подеднакво пред да се повтори некоја од нив, оневозможувајќи какво било нагласување на одредена нота,[1] користејќи тонски серии од 12 ноти. Притоа, сите 12 ноти се повеќе или помалку еднакво важни и музиката избегнува каков било тоналитет. Оваа техника била многу влијателна врз композиторите од средината на XX век. Самиот Шенберг го опишува системот како "Метод на компонирање со дванаесет ноти кои се во однос само помеѓу самите ноти".[2] Творецот на додекафонската музика, Арнолд Шенберг, ја урнал хиерархијата на тоновите и нив ги направил меѓусебно рамноправни, т.е. им наметнал строга дисциплина така што ниту еден тон во композицијата да не може да се појавува почесто од другите.[3]
